Back Home for a Few Days

It's amazing what a good night's sleep can do for you. Woke up around 8AM, showered, ate, packed and was finally on my way home for a brief 2-day stay. 4 and 1/2 hours and 308 miles later - what a breeze - I pulled up in a familiar driveway -  Home Sweet Home.

I feel like I've been on the road for weeks already instead of just 2 days. Is this a sign of the times - a sign of getting - I'm more afraid to say it than I am of the long and winding road ahead - you know - old?? We're all doing it, but before I get there, I'll be to The Arctic Circle and back on 2 wheels with hopes of seeing and enjoying this beautiful country I choose to live in rather than any other place on earth.

Once we cross the border into Canada from North Dakota, it's a 2,500 mile ride through the Western Canadian Provinces before we reach Alaska. That will be the real mystery and interesting part if this adventure. Always wanted to ride through Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (can't make this stuff up) ever since I was able to say it!

As I rolled into the driveway, the garage door magically opened and out came my amazing wife and best friend to greet me. What a beautiful sight! Glad to be home.

Now the work begins...... get the bike serviced, pack, wire all electronics, charge everything, check, check and double-check, and, oh yeah - enjoy 3 more nights sleep in my own bed.

Getting ready for Saturday morning. KSU at 8AM - that's kick stands up for those of you who aren't motorcyclists. Next stop - Atlanta, GA or a little north of there.

Stay tuned ............
